PostSubject: Festival of Kings (Open to all)   Wed Dec 07, 2016 8:17 pm

Celaena had been asked to guard the Festival of Kings, a recent festival that had been created a few years before to celebrate the mighty Kings in the past that have defended their country. It travels around the country, their last place secretly being in Hogsmeade for those students who cannot leave Hogwarts to attend the festival in their hometown. It also allows the Knights in Training to meet the Royal Families and create a bond between them, which will give them a position in that household in the future.

Whilst Celaena was already promised to the English Royal Family, to be the personal Knight, she did like speaking with the other families to become the thing that connects the families and form alliances, same with her secret business with the Druids. "Lady Celaena?" She snapped out of her thoughts, her eyes narrowing and she shot a quick glare at the one who disturbed her from putting on her armour. "Your presence has been requested by the King of Belgium. He desires your company and your protection for the day...I did not wish to refuse him myself, for he is quite adamant." The messenger stammered, bowing his head and she sighed, smiling gently. "I will be sure to tell him myself that I cannot protect one person, but everyone. He just wishes for my company in bed, something he may never get." She said slyly and kissed at the young boy's forehead, placing on her helmet.

She left him there all dazed and went into position, right in front of the final stage where the current Kings and Queens will stand and she'll separate the crowd from the stage, her double bladed spear there as a warning for all those who try to get passed. "Excuse me, if you could just move a little bit away from the stage, that'd be quite kind of you." She said, bowing her head in thanks and resumed her position, her face emotionless as the King of Belgium kept coughing and tapping his foot beside her ear to attract her attention. She knew if she said anything, her head would be off in seconds, even with her father not that far away and watching the King like a hawk.

Elizabeth entered the festival wearing her favorite red dress. She had her hair in loose tendrils, hanging around her face. She walked around, not trying to draw too much attention to herself. She saw a few of her friends already there. The young princess of Italy, Mika, was there with her older brother. She saw the Princess of London, Amelia, had arrived. And the Prince of Bulgaria, Dimitri, was near by as well. She smiled at her friends that she recognized from school and began to observe the event around her

Celaena, having seen a few people that were familiar in the corner of her eye, shifted through the crowd so she could adjust some people's stance. "Stand straighter and you may actually be able to protect the Royals, you fool." She growled to someone who was slouching, clearly bored and began to berate him, explaining that it was an honour to be there as the Guards and whacked her double edged sword against his head to make the helmet clang. She pressed her hand against his spine, forcing him to stand straighter and she appeared before Elizabeth with a small smile, nodding towards the rest of the princes' and princesses. "I do hope you are all well this fine morning. I have been asked to stand by you all and if need be, protect you from harm." She said with a bow of her head but beneath her helmet, a cheeky smirk was in place and she held a hand to her chest. "I hope you are all attending the masquerade ball this evening. I myself have been granted permission to attend." She admitted, her hawk like eyes forever scanning the crowd around her and the young future kings and queens.

Dimitri leaned against a near by tree, obvious uninterest showing in his eyes. He grabbed a beer from a wench near by and sipped it as he continued to look around. he ndoded at Elizabeth when she smiled at him, while she was not a royal, she was still a dear friend of his. When Celaena approached them, her straightened up a bit and smiled "Hello, Dear Celaena, I am doing quite well now that I have been graced with your beauty. I hope you are doing well today." He said with a slight bow. When she mentioned the masquerade ball he gave a slight chuckle, "I will attend if you do, m'lady."

Celaena was pleased that someone decided to converse with her, clasping her hands together with a sweet smile. "You flatter me so, M'Lord. I am doing very well, honoured to be the head Guard for the festival." She stated, gesturing around her and it was obvious just how proud she was for the opportunity. "Wonderful but I must remind you that I am no lady. Only out of the uniform." She reminded him, actually being apart of a very noble family but when she's in her armour, she's simply Knight Celaena. "Save me a dance, will you? I do now the Princesses will flock to you but a single dance is all I request." Celaena said with a bow of her head, removing her helmet and shaking out her raven curls before tucking it under her arm.

Dimitri smiled at her and could not stop, he could not take his eyes off of her "They may flock to me, yes, but I will have the entirety of my focus on one beuatiful lady in particular." He said refferring to her as the beautiful lady. "I will definitely save you a dance. Maybe even more than one, if I get my way." He said blushing a bit and smiling at her

Celaena rolled her eyes at his cheesiness, being used to the flirtatious lines from many people she's trained with but her eyes weren't locked onto anyone just yet. "I'm sure that lady is honoured." She commented with a grin and tilted her head at the sound of a bang but it was only someone having fallen over due to the wine he's been consuming since the early hours of the day. "I'd like that, if it allowed me to get away from the hands of a drunk councilman." She said, gesturing to the one that was leering at any woman around him. "D'Albret. A man known to get quite touchy with anyone younger than him. His young wife knows of his infidelity but refuses to admit it due to how rich he is." She stated to the ones around him, showing her extensive knowledge of everyone. "There will be no attack upon the Festival but there are more Guards around due to the reports of harassment in previous events. Just thought you must know as to my being here in armour." Celaena explained, having a high title without the honour of being a Knight.

Dimitris eyes darkened as she mentioned the perverted old man and he glared at the drunkard trying to stumble around and that was flirting with anything with a pulse and was woman. "If he bothers you, let me know immediately and I will handle it." Dimitri said with authority that he knew she would not disobey

Celaena smirked quite darkly, the instant mood shift upon her expression having shown loud and clear and she straightened, narrowing her eyes now at Dimitri's comment. "Whilst your higher position might force me to obey, my own title prevents me from letting someone else handle it. I am a Knight and one who is flying up the ranks quickly. I cannot allow someone, who I am to protect, protect me. That will make me go lower down the ranks and seem like some damsel in distress." She said, her tone clipped but sure as she spoke with her head held high. "Thank you for your concern but I've worked too hard to prove myself as not just some...lady but as a worthy fighter. I can handle him myself but I trust that you'd protect Elizabeth and the other princesses if I am not around." Celaena said, gesturing her hand to the far prettier, more important ladies that attended the festival as a sign that there are far more people who'd be interested in his brave acts.

Dimitri frowned and stared at her "Im sorry, Celaena, but that was not an option." Dimitri said "I will not allow anyone to make a fool of the royal families of the world by being that intoxicated in public. If you could please escort him out immediately."

Celaena stared in displeasure, having always disliked young princes and turned slowly, glancing back at him. "I had deemed us friends, Prince Petrov, but friends don't order other friends around like slaves. I understand I am a Knight but I had a great deal of respect towards in, having hoped you wouldn't do things like this." She stated with a wave of her hand and like lightening, thanks to her rune magic, appeared next to D'Albret with fire burning in the depths of her eyes. "M'Lord, I must escort you out...It appears you've had a bit much to drink and I'd prefer it if you laid your head to rest before the real ceremony begins." She said calmly to the leering man, him nodding at her enchanting voice and she apparated them away.

However, this was what she wanted to do from the very beginning. She apparated them to somewhere secluded in the castle, where no one would check for hours and sliced his throat upon landing. She was an assassin as well as being a Knight, unknown to any Royal Family apart from the one she served; the British. Celaena used a trace so no one would know who transported him there, and the spell would've hidden itself from her wand and cleaned herself with magic. "Rest in Pieces, you fowl man." She snarled down at his body, apparating back just before the rats began to tear him to pieces. His wife questioned her, her helmet stopping D'Albert's wife from recognising her and she smiled behind the metal. "He's resting, Ma'am. The wine was too much." She used a rune to disfigure her voice into a male and then wandered away, scratching at the rune to make the magic disappear. "Lady Celaena. You refused my request." Her body stilled, the king of Belgium having always been interested in her and she slowly turned, a false smile upon her lips. "I'm quite busy, your Highness."
